ABSTRACT
In recent years, there has been increasing interest in ontology-based data access, in which the semantic information described by an ontology is exploited when querying data. Much of the work in this area has focused on ontologies formulated using description logics (DLs). The objective of this talk will be to give an overview of the state-of-the-art of query answering in DLs, with a particular focus on the complexity landscape.
