The Workshop on Foundations of Databases and AI (FADA) was a focused, two-day gathering of some of the leading international scholars working on the theoretical underpinnings of databases and artificial intelligence. The event was held on January 29–30, 2025, at TU Wien in Vienna and featured forward-looking talks and discussions on topics such as the role of logic in machine learning, innovative graph languages, and novel approaches to query evaluation. The event was organized by Matthias Lanzinger at the research unit for Databases and Artificial Intelligence, part of the Institute for Logic and Computation at TU Wien.
